Who We Are
Cabbage Patch Academy got its start in Nixa in 2024 by Bryan & Samantha Harris. After getting married almost a decade and a half ago, we both began volunteering at local outreach programs and youth sports teams, where we found our calling; to serve the community.
In 2019 we started offering in-home childcare and then, during the pandemic,
began planning to open an early childhood development center, thus Cabbage Patch Academy was born!
We decided to do things a bit differently at Cabbage Patch Academy by creating a space that fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment where children from 0 to 5 years old can explore the world around them. Cabbage Patch Academy aims to make an impact on the community around us; as a family-owned business, it is important to serve our community and their children well and provide the care and support they need.
We believe our innovative, holistic approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Infant Rooms (0-1):
Welcome to our Infant Classroom at Cabbage Patch Academy! This first room is a space where the youngest explorers embark on their very first adventures and has been designed to cater to the unique needs and developmental milestones of infants. We prioritize offering the utmost care and support for both you and your little one. In this nurturing environment, your baby will feel safe and secure, allowing our dedicated teachers to engage them through individualized developmental play. Our focus is on fostering a sense of security and promoting early development through gentle interactions and personalized attention.
Toddler Rooms (2-3):
Step into our vibrant Toddler Classrooms where your child's individual needs take center stage. Here, we emphasize social learning in fun and dynamic ways, facilitating social growth and mingling with different age groups, your toddler will thrive in this environment. Interactive learning materials are readily available, inviting eager hands to explore, fostering early literacy and cognitive development. Here you will also find our potty training facilities, that help ensure a smooth transition towards the next stage of independence.
Preschool Classrooms (4-5):
Our Preschool Classrooms at Cabbage Patch Academy are designed to lay a strong foundation for your child's educational journey. We offer a comprehensive curriculum tailored to prepare them for the transition into school seamlessly. Through age-appropriate learning tools and activities, we focus on nurturing their confidence and readiness for the next level of education. Your child will engage in enriching experiences that promote growth across all developmental points, setting them up for success in the next step in their education adventure.
Outdoor Space
Our outdoor space is a haven for play and learning. By staying active, each of our children is nourishing not only their bodies but their minds too!
Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including daycare for infants and toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our center.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
